3D Printing Course Notes Re-released Under the Attribution License!

by Paul Mignone

After our highly successful 3D printing summer and winter schools earlier this year, we decided to release our course notes under a Creative Commons License. This was done to empower the Digital Blacksmith community, and to help researchers better design and fabricate their ideas for the good of all.

After thousands of downloads, multiple requests and many consultations, we have listened to our community and have re-released the 3D Printing course notes under the more flexible, Creative Commons Attribution License.

Under this license, users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. In return, users will have complete flexibility to modify our course notes to their requirements.

You can access to the updated course notes by clicking here.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help get our github version of the course notes up and running. If you’re interested in helping out with this, feel free to contact me via twitter.

We’ve been amazed at the rate the Digital Blacksmith community has grown and are looking forward to taking our community to the next level. We wish our community members a happy holidays and a happy new year!
