Tools for the road
By Fiona TweedieIt’s fairly obvious to say that your needs as a researcher change as you progress along your research journey. There are tools that will help you to get underway and others you won’t need until you’re a bit more advanced in your work. And the right tools at the right time can make a big difference to the course of your journey. Knowing the right methods can open up avenues of inquiry and make the journey a whole lot richer, as well as saving you some pain.

Avoid break-downs along the way by having the right research toolkit
With this in mind, we’re excited to trial a new sort of forum with the Melbourne Law School Graduate Researchers Association. It’s a bit different from the Speed Dating events that we’ve done in the past as instead of showcasing a big range of our tools, we’ll be discussing the research journey and the appropriate tools for each step of the way, from collecting and organising material at the very beginning, to sharing your findings with the world.
We’re really looking forward to crossing Grattan Street and meeting with the law researchers on April 28th to talk about tools for every stage of the research journey.
