New workshop - How to get data with surveys, mobile apps, scraping, and more !

Hi everyone ! We’re currently organising a new data acquisition workshop where you can learn on how to get data by various means. In this two day workshop, we’re going to focus on :
- Web based survey tools (Google Forms)
- Mobile apps data collection (Kobo Toolbox)
- Searching data using search engine and data portals
- Getting tables from a webpage using browser extensions
- Scraping webpages using Outwit and Kimono
In this workshop, we will extend our previous course to also include more data sources - search engine, data portals, webpages tables and webpages scraping !
The workshop will be held on 12-13 May 2016, 1pm - 5pm at The University of Melbourne - Room 107 Building 278, 100 Leicester St, Parkville, VIC 3010.
