3, 2, 1 … Action!
At ResBaz right now we’re making a series of digital tools training films. Led by the excellent Kim Doyle, one of the current ResBaz projects, ResProduction, has seen us embark on a challenge unlike all previous ResPlat events.
In conjunction with the Video & Media production team at Learning Environments, we’re producing a pilot of 5 short films designed to introduce researchers to new tools and let the world know all of the great things that we do!
The first rollout of films will be:
Natural Language Toolkit
Python
R
Omeka &
Tinkercad & 3D Printing
Our fantastic video producer Mariona Guiu has guided us through the challenging script writing process as well as giving us all feedback on costuming, staging, and props.
This week we have been filming in Melbourne University’s production studio and, to be honest, we’re all feeling a little bit diva.
Here’s a sneek peek of Jon Garber hard at work producing his film about Python:

The films will be in post-production stage for a month or two but stay tuned for our launch party and screening early next year!
