3D Printing in Print!
On May 27th 2014, The Age published, “3D printers help surgeons hone their skills on replica body parts” featuring Mitch Finlayson and his work on providing training simulations for surgeons at the Royal Children’s Hospital. The power of 3D Printing enables surgeons to use printed parts, “drastically increas[ing] the breadth of [their] experience, and the number of surgeons prepared to operate in rare scenarios”.

Mitch approached @ITS_Res and a trachea was printed by our very own Paul Mignone, Bernard Meade & David Flanders!
3D Printing opens up a whole new world of possibilities, and enthusiasm grows day by day - from medicine, to jewellery, food to even politics (the New Zealand Greens are strongly advocating for 3D Printers to be used in schools, universities and business!).
At @ITS_Res we help you become a #digismith - a “Digital Blacksmith” - capable of taking the printing the world (well, a miniature replica)! Interested in learning more? Read some more of our blog-posts or even scroll through our story!
